He discusses playing violin in the New York Philharmonic from 1928-1930 under Toscanini; compares Toscanini, Mengelberg, Koussevitzsky, and Stokowski; also mentions many others including Furtwangler, Barenboim, Klemperer, Ormandy, Bruno Walter, Alfred Hertz, Gustav Mahler, and Fritz Reiner.
